I love seeing CMG media in high resolution and that is why we included HD1080 content in all of our CMG Packs. As projectors improve, hardware gets more powerful and screens get bigger, 1920×1080 content won’t cut it anymore. The use of 4K video equipment in church environments is picking up momentum and soon producers will need to provide their content in 4K.
Selling 4K videos in our store is still in the distant future, I thought it would be fun to provide a 4K Video Image Test to give your powerful 4K projectors a run for their money. I have created a 1:12 video that runs through a series of tests to showcase the beauty of 4K. The test includes images of: particles, lens flares, fractal noise, grids, horizontal lines, vertical lines, photos, and small text.
The 4K Video Image Test comes in five sizes so you can compare the test in different resolutions on your system.
- 4K Test – 3840 x 2160
- HD 1080 Test – 1920 x 1080
- HD 720 Test – 1280 x 720
- SD 600 Test – 800 x 600
- SD 480 Test – 640 x 480
All five videos were encoded using MOV h.264 at very high bit-rates so to not introduce any noticeable compression into the test. If your computer cannot handle these high bit-rates than the video will stutter when played back.
